Documentation of STMT optimization pipeline

Just an idea, I guess it may be useful to create some document which explain current STMT optimization pipeline - short description of each step.
I mean modifications in Lower.cpp, like lifting invariant expressions from loop, for example.
May be something like that already exist, but I can't find.
