Describe the bug

I've just tried to use the sync feature with My Clippings for the first time. I've attached a copy of my myclippings.txt file for reference. I expect the Highlights and Notes from the file to be show up after the sync, but only the highlights do.

To be sure that there's no issue with the clippings file, I uploaded a copy to myclippings.io, and the notes and highlights were clearly visible.

I'd appreciate any help with this.

Method of syncing

  • Amazon Kindle Reader
  • My Clippings file (please attach file that can be used to recreate issue)

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. In Obsidian, click on Sync your Kindle Highlights
  2. Click on Sync, and then on Upload "My Clippings" file
  3. Click on Sync Now and select the clippings.txt file I've attached
  4. Open any of the three imported files, and you would find that the highlights show but the notes do not.

Expected behaviour

I expect that both the notes and highlights should be displayed if they're present in the clippings.txt file.

Screenshots

  • This is what the three files look like after the sync (there are no notes)

Additional Notes

  • I'm making use of the default file content and highlight templates
  • The clippings were got from a Kindle Paperwhite (12th generation) with firmware version 5.17.0

Metadata

  • OS: Mac
  • Plugin version: 1.9.2
  • Obsidian version 1.7.7
