international ページの運用方針について

international のページについて
http://www.gsc.aoyama.ac.jp/international/

現在、jekyllを使った、github 上での運用を考えていますが、international については、
static サイト（html/css/js）として、ダウンロードし、github上に乗せなおす方向でよいでしょうか？

つまり、考えうる問題点・確認したい点としては、

・現在使っているCMSがあれば、その更新ができなくなる
・ビルドシステム等がある場合、それらに管理でなくなる（共有部分の一括修正などができない）

などです。

もし、international の運用方式についても維持したい場合、
現在のサーバーをそのまま利用して、ドメインをわける選択はできると考えています。

こちらの方針でいかがでしょうか？

Aoyama Gakuin University is a nationally renowned institution in Japanese higher education. Established in 1949 as the flagship institution of the larger Aoyama Gakuin school system, the University boasts generations of graduates that have become leaders in fields ranging from arts and athletics to business and national politics. Aoyama Gakuin, a comprehensive educational institution encompassing all levels from kindergarten to university, was founded in 1874 by American missionaries based on Christian faith. It continues to carry that legacy today with its distinctive emphasis on instilling a commitment to service and an international outlook into its students. In addition to providing high quality education in specialized fields across 24 departments, the University strives to cultivate “servant leaders” that possess both the knowledge and character to effectively serve their communities locally and globally.

・ About GSC

The School of Global Studies and Collaboration (GSC) was established in 2015 with the goal of cultivating students’ intellectual capacity and leadership to thrive in a rapidly changing globalized world. Students at GSC take courses from our four clusters: collaboration, sociology, business, and media and spatial information. This interdisciplinary curriculum ensures that students receive a holistic social science education that can be utilized in a wide variety of fields. GSC faculty members include a number of instructors with extensive records of practical experience in their respective fields and industries, and strive to provide students with the tools to connect theories taught in classrooms with real-world applications.

・ Program Description

The Japan Studies Program, offered by the School of Global Studies and Collaboration (GSC) at Aoyama Gakuin University, provides highly motivated international students with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Japan, Japan-related academic fields, and Japanese language through an intensive one-to-two semester program. Students choose from a selection of courses covering business, economics, culture, history, and geography, where they will learn from a collection of well-known researchers, artists, and policy analysts about issues in each field.

Academics

・ Japan Studies Course Descriptions

Geography
Geography courses explore the role that locations play in our daily lives. Since the advent of the Internet era, geospatial technology is quickly evolving to become faster, more accurate, and more tightly integrated into our experiences. Geography courses give students a chance to discover and help create state-of-the-art neo-geographic tools in Japan for generating and sharing geospatial information.

Culture
Japanese Culture courses introduce students to numerous intriguing facets of Japanese culture, ranging from traditional art and belief to the “Cool Japan” of the 21st century. Students will have hands-on experiences such as traditional flower arrangement and tea ceremony, opportunities to meet actors from traditional theater such as Kabuki, and learn first-hand from anime artists and robot theater performers.

History
Japanese History courses enrich students’ knowledge about Japan, its past and present. The courses cover a wide timeframe from the medieval period to modern times, as well as a broad range of topics including the political roles of the samurai, the rising status of women, and war memory. Students will gain an understanding of Japanese history through a hands-on approach by conducting fieldwork and trips around the campus.

Economy, Business and Policy
Japanese Economy, Business and Policy courses aim to facilitate a precise understanding of key aspects of the Japanese economy among international students. The four courses cover the most essential elements that contributed to the reconstruction and development of the economy in the latter half of the 20th century, including private sector innovation, education, industrial policies, and economic cooperation with developing countries.

・ Internship Program

We offer various internship opportunities for international students at world-renowned Japanese companies, NPOs/NGOs, local governments, and many others. Our program offers full support for students’ internship experience from the start to the finish. We invite and encourage students to explore their career interests and gain valuable experiences off-campus by working in a different culture.

・ Field Trips

The Japan Studies Program offers a variety of field trips and excursions to popular Japanese destinations such as Mount Fuji and other UNESCO World Heritage sites as well opportunities for hands-on experiences of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, from Noh and Kabuki to pop culture and robotics, inside and outside of the classroom. These events give students the chance to become familiar with numerous aspects of Japan’s vibrant cultural heritage while building lasting connections with their Japanese peers. Our program also includes company visits, giving students the rare chance to go behind the scenes of innovative businesses.

Campus Life

・ Student Support and Activities

The Japan Studies Program provides comprehensive academic and extracurricular support to international students. Regular campus events such as the language chat room and international coffee meetings give international students the opportunity to interact and connect with both peer-international students and Japanese students.

・ Facilities

Campus amenities, including a dining hall, study lounges, and fitness center, support all aspects of daily life. Professional development support and internship opportunities are also available for students with the desire to launch a career in Japan after graduation.

・ Accommodations

All international students stay at the Global Residence, a dormitory immediately adjacent to the university campus. The dormitory houses both Japanese and international students and provides space communal for dining and recreation, allowing students to make informal connections with their peers.

Andrew Hampson
AGU’s Japan Studies Program has provided me with a comprehensive learning experience synthesizing both academic and cultural curricula into one fantastic journey. I was able to achieve personal growth through every experience at AGU, becoming a more well-rounded student and global citizen, as well as, give back to the AGU community by sharing my own cultural heritage, language and friendship. I would recommend this program to anyone seeking a challenging learning opportunity, personal growth, friendships, and of course, memories that will last a lifetime. Needless to say, the Japan Studies Program has been the highlight of my undergraduate experience.

This student exchange program has shown its impact on me in various ways. I have learnt about numerous cultures and made the most of my opportunities given. I have gained new friends and felt as if I am a local in this country and a part of their culture. I have fallen in love with the environment as it is so lively yet peaceful and convenient. I have found that being an exchange student has been a life changing experience for me. It has made me realize that I can do so much more than I thought was possible. My advice to you would be to take every opportunity, embrace the culture, learn new languages and enjoy making new lifelong connections. You will not regret it because I had the time of my life here!

FAQ

1. Is the Japan Studies Program only open to international students?
   Classes within the Japan Studies Program are also open to Japanese students. Group-work components in these classes provide Japanese and international students with an opportunity to naturally build lasting connections with each other.

2. I only speak English; will I be able to take courses in the Japan Studies Program?
   All courses in the program are conducted in English. Japanese language proficiency is not a prerequisite for enrollment.

3. Are all classes conducted in lecture style?
   The Program also includes a number of hands-on courses. In particular, the Japanese Traditional Culture course teaches enrollees about elements of Japanese culture such as tea ceremony and origami through hands-on-experience. Learn more about this exciting class through our Facebook page.

4. What sorts of instructors teach at the department?
   Classes are taught by instructors who are at the forefront of their respective fields, as well as guest lecturers who are practioners of their professional field. The program strives to balance fundamental academic content with information on the latest developments in culture, media, and technology.
