In order to help with user retention (getting people who visit our site to sign up and use it), there are a ton of things we can do.

-Streamline then signup experience @pjz
-Make the profile more dynamic @abnor #133
-Invite people to Gittip via twitter blasts/money waiting etc. @zwn #830 (relevant: https://www.gittip.com/on/twitter/barackobama/)
-Fix buttons @duckinator #1669 + #237

To expand, we agreed that if I give to someone, I should see a "tweet this person" UI on their /on/twitter profile page.
