We can currently view other source layers in the background, but we can't have additional "non-source" layers, to use as reference or as a scratch area.

In addition to the main "layerName", each source should have a list of associated layer names. Each source in the source list could be "unfolded" (expanded) to show the full list of assiciated layers (possibly including the main layer).
