For example in form of a button in interactive tutorial. Useful for quickly formatting an example when dealing with some questions.

This is very easy because there is already a JS interface to it, and it's already used in the K8s page for the YAML -> Jsonnet

Jsonnet.org seems to be using Codemirror but in case there is a plan for building an interactive editor that supports multiple files & validation etc, we're developing an extension for Monaco editor. (See: https://github.com/rakam-io/monaco-jsonnet)

Monaco supports formatting out of the box but since the Gopherjs compiled version didn't bundle the formatting module, the Monaco extension doesn't support this feature. In case we implement #818, I can add support for it. Not sure about your plans though.
