Description

When attempting to set a *[]byte field to nil in the database, GORM does not update the field to NULL as expected. Instead, the field retains its previous value in the database.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Define a model with a *[]byte field:
type AoiPcb struct {
    ID              uint      `gorm:"primaryKey"`
    PcbActualImgBot *[]byte   `gorm:"default:NULL"`
}
  1. Attempt to set the PcbActualImgBot field to nil using:
tx.Model(&AoiPcb{}).Where("id = ?", 1).Update("PcbActualImgBot", nil)
  1. Observe that the field does not update to NULL in the database.

Expected Behavior:

The field should be updated to NULL in the database when nil is assigned.

Actual Behavior:

The field retains its previous value and does not update to NULL.
