I have successfully run leela-chess on a very similar system (Debian 9.4, using a precompiled client_linux), the systems only differ with regards to GPU and the ICD-loader. The failing system has a AMD CAICOS GPU running Clover and mesa (full output of clinfo below).

Below is a transcript of messages to the terminal when running client_linux
