External keyboard capslock delay

Does this work on an external keyboard? When I use my MacBook's built-in keyboard for Caps Lock, there is no delay. But when I use an external wired keyboard, there is a delay when clicking the Caps Lock button. It is very annoying. There is only a delay on the Caps Lock button.
