this was on xfce rolling version.
I'm trying on xfce static by tomorrow.
another issue is there a way to install from debian mirrors for xfce and
gnome desktops ?
It's a nice work as well as Spirallinux which i have installed.

You are right libz-dev is .deb pkg
and zlib-devel is rpm . I am not sure which one i tried to install because
i installed another version so i will reinstall xfce static version and
try again then let you know by to tomorrow sir.

First thanks to geckolinux for the great work.
It is a nice distro.
I am trying to work on carbon language.
I am using xfce geckolinux , i have an error : zlib. h no such file or directory.
To solve it, i am trying to install libz-dev
but geckolinux says it's not available in the pool ..
So please how can I solve this problem ?
