After new installation of Gecko Linux Static current, several conflicts with Packman Repo!

Hi

First thanks for this Project!

After a new installation off Gecko Linux Static current, i just update the OS and after i want to install Codes from the Packman Repositories, but they was many conflicts, so i can't install the Codecs and can't switch the System to Packman:(

Hi there Martin, it's not necessary to switch any packages to Packman, as packages from Packman are prioritized.

To update the system please simply follow this step:
https://github.com/geckolinux/geckolinux-project/wiki#updates-to-geckolinux-static-within-the-same-major-opensuse-version

And to install new packages simply search for and install them in YaST Software, you generally shouldn't need to modify anything else.

Your system has ffmpeg version ffmpeg-4-4.4 that indicates it's from tumbleweed branch while the package you are trying to install is at ffmpeg-3-3.4.9. I think you have mixed the leap version of Packman repo in your tumbleweed system. And as @geckolinux said, GeckoLinux comes preinstalled with codecs and pre-configured Packman repo so you don't have to do anything. If you manually added any repo, remove it and do,
sudo zypper clean && sudo zypper refresh && sudo zypper dup
