Markdown-plugin: insert additional colors to html/css

When I define new colors for the generated html, so fg_color and bg_color, in addition I would like to add colors for the html anchor. From the plugin help I know that only the above mentioned colors can be defined.
Is there a way to add something like ah_color or is this a feature request?

From a quick perusal of the docs it appears that you can specify the HTML template into which you can add any CSS you want.

Adding anything as a plugin setting is a feature request and as the plugin has not been maintained for some time it is unknown if it would happen (unless you do a PR yourself of course ;-)
