<p><b>1.4.1 Looking</b></p>
<p>The <code>look</code> command (abbreviated `l') shows you your
surroundings. Typing <code>look</code> by itself shows you the room you
are in. You automatically see the description of a room upon entering
it; typing <code>look</code> shows the same description again (it may
have scrolled off your screen). Typing </p>
<p><code> look <object></code></p>
<p>or </p>
<p><code> l <object></code> </p>
<p>...shows you the description of <code><object></code>. The
<code>lookat</code> command does a possessive look, showing something
that is held by someone else. The syntax is <code>lookat
<object>'s <thing></code>.</p>
