Created this wrt @guaje 's feedback.
Although the combination of vtkFollower and vtkVectorText is not as powerful as the vtkTextActor3D and VTK already has the vtkBillboardTextActor3D, my suggestion is to use the label actor and create an issue asking for implementation of the BillboardText.
