With tunnelmanager enabled the logfile contains warnings like the following:

couldn't determine whether wg_51820 (24) is a wireless interface

The type of an interface can be as follows:

type {auto|wired|wireless|tunnel}
The default is auto unless the -w command-line flag was specified.

The type for the wireguard tunnels should be set to "tunnel".
