A full-time employee has been assigned a Leave Policy based on a period of 1/1/2023 to 31/12/2023
Annual leave allocated is earned leave basis (e.g 22 days) in this full-time Leave Policy
Later on, the same employee has a change in employment type from full-time to part-time which triggers changes in leave policy (period year of 1/5/2023 to 31/12/2023)
A part-time Leave Policy should be granted to the said employee
Limitation in the System
System is NOT ALLOWED to assign new policies without canceling the old ones which will also trigger to cancel of all the "submitted" leave applications of the said employee
The above limitation has caused the client can't traceability as well as the employee's lifecycle history within the company
Expected Scenario
If any employee wants to work from Full time to Part time then System should allow changing the Leave Policy Assignment accordingly.
If any employee switches the department in between running periods and every department has a different leave Policy then in this case also the system should allow changing the leave policy

Recently we have a few clients reported the same limitation above on leave policy changes for employee within the same period year. Kindly take this as priority to enhance the feature and hope to get the response on the resolution soon.
Same for our side, as many clients have requested for the same features. Another situation where this feature is valid is when a part-time employee transitions to a full-time role, or when a probationary/intern employee becomes a full-time employee.
We are happy to help with this issue and would appreciate some guidance or a base idea on how to implement this feature. Our development team is ready to assist in developing and integrating this functionality.
