Currently, the Assignment Rule Doctype sets a due date based on a field. However, there is no option to add a specific number of days to that base date. A dedicated field (e.g., “Due Date Offset”) allowing users to input an integer (e.g., +3) would greatly enhance flexibility. This feature would automate adding the specified offset to the base date and ensure tasks are assigned with the correct due date.
Implementing an offset field would simplify date management across various workflows. It eliminates the need for custom code or manual date adjustments and ensures accurate, consistent due dates for assigned tasks.
