If you want to get things fixed, you need to your problem in a more detailed way so that one can understand what is wrong

could you check with pcsc_scan whether the tag actually gets disconnected?

For some reaser the app gets notified that a new tag was connected. The app disconnects from vpcd (hence the log message) to indicate that the old tag was removed and then connects again to vpcd with the new tag (without log message). So the card in vpcd should work as expected, even though the log message in remote-reader app is not accurate.

I first connected the remote smart card reader to the pcsc then run the pscs_scan and then scanned the card and this is the result:

So your tag is still connected to reader 0, correct? Then I assume connecting to it on the PC should work as expected.

Yes but when connected it reads the test card instead of the normal one

thanks for the info, I need to look into this.

in the mean time, you could try to downgrade to 2.3 to check if it has the same problem.

I tried to link my android smartphone to my windows laptop as an NFC card reader using vpcd/vicc & the virtual smart card reader android app. The dummy ping goes through but nothing else seems to go through. I was unable to make the two sides communicate properly despite them seemingly working fine otherwise. Maybe these issues are connected.
