It would be cool to have a section in the Setting up ReShade guide (or in another individual guide) with tips and tricks for everyday usage of reshade. Here are a couple of examples of things I would add:
Creating a main reshade folder with all the effects and textures that every game uses.
Using Ctrl + Click in a value to write it yourself.
Using shift or ctrl to move a slider faster or slower.
(hello it's moyevka i've hijacked the post 😼)
Here's my proposal for how the guide should be organised, including the sections I'd want to include
basic ReShade installation and setup1, including importance of file name and what to try when it conflicts with mods that use similar .dlls.
setting up the depth buffer, including the differences in finding depth between v4 and v5, on both regular and online-enabled versions
shader order of execution (this one is super important! include a video if possible)
shader organisation techniques (including global folder setup, and using subfolders2)
GUI manipulation (window snapping, font scaling, etc.)
sideloading ReShade (e.g. with Special K, etc.)
addons and addon catalogue (link to our addon guides as well)
additional tips and tricks, such as solving depth buffer misalignment from screen distortion effects
Footnotes
This should reference the section on shader organisation, but shader organisation shouldn't immediately follow it as I would consider it less important. ↩
crosire: No need to add every individual folder, just do EffectSearchPaths=D:\#ReShade\#ReShade - Central Folder\reshade-shaders (Screenshot)\Shaders\**. The \** serves as a wildcard and tells ReShade to search all subdirectories as well.↩

The general ReShade guide can entirely be redone, imo. I don't think it's necessary to host a setup guide on the site as that already has a wealth of documentation out there, however I think we should overhaul the guide to include the things above as well as how to edit and duplicate shader files.
I can work on this, but I'd probably like to consult people like BeTa (Alea) to squeeze out more details.
suggestion: merge UWP guide into this new "ReShade for Powerusers" guide (we'll figure out a better title), remember to add a redirect from the old URL if we're killing old guides.

Add a section (or guide) for reshade tips and tricks
Overhaul general ReShade guide

so here's my proposal for the reshade guide revamp
let's call it something silly like The Screenshotter's Guide to ReShade
i think it should be a beginner-intermediate guide with the primary purpose of helping people move on from presets
like discussed it'll outright replace the reshade setup guide and we'll go tell people to google that stuff since there's too much of that already
it'll increase in complexity, going from like encouraging people to experiment then teaching them how to edit and duplicate shaders etc.
