There are a lot of linter errors throughout the codebase, it could be worth fixing these especially as the contributing guide specifies using the linter.

@matthewdking Are you using any specific eslint rules for airbnb eslint? It's not specified.

Hi @paulina-grunwald 👋 I'm unsure of the state of the project at the moment happy for you to take this on anyway. I think we are just using airbnb-base.
