Hi,

I might be missing something obvious, but I haven't been successful in changing the settings of this extension so that it works like MitM Me did. Let me elaborate.

What I want is that when I visit a site which should show the cert error page in Firefox in general, that page is shown and the certs are not automatically accepted. By turning off the bottom settings in the extension config that works, but the problem is that I then have to click the "Add an exception" button in the warning page and after that also go through the dialog that shows to add the certificate temporarily.

What MitM Me did was to supress that extra dialog, so that once the warning page shows, I can decide whether I want to add an exception, and I could easily do that by just clicking the button to do so. Point being that once I clicked that button, the temporary exception was added, without having to go through the dialog.

Can this be done with this extension? If not, can it be enhanced so that it works the same way (perhaps in a configurable manner)?

Thanks!

Hi,

I see: you don't want to actually skip the cert error page, but pass it in one click (1). Please correct me if I misunderstood.
Although it's not a priority, I'll give it a try.
Cheers

(1) SkipCertError turns on the expert_bad_cert option, which reduces the number of clicks needed to add an exception to 3 for a temporary exception, and 2 otherwise.

You understood me better than I explained it :)

When having to go through the dialog to allow the/a cert, I find that I most often need to wait one or two seconds for the cert to actually load inside that dialog, before I can finish it. Not to mention that I almost always want to uncheck the "permanent" checkbox. It's quite a hassle, so yeah, just being able to click the first button on the warning page would be awesome. Just like MitM Me =)

Thanks!

Hi, b53c835 provides a "hidden" single_click_skip pref.
You can turn it on by browsing about:config.
Does it fit your needs ?
