We're currently getting started with react-intl and am finding one thing challenging. By way of background, I've previously had substantial experience working with ruby's I18n gem. A key feature there since very early on (we're talking nearly 15 years) is that fallbacks (or "defaultLocales" plural) can be specified with a level of structure. For example:
