Focusing the search box on every page interferes with keyboard navigation, e.g. go to https://ordia.toolforge.org/language/ and try to scroll down using page down or the down arrow. Page down seems to work in Chrome-based browsers but not Firefox. The down arrow doesn't work in either.

I don't think it makes sense to automatically focus the search box on pages other than the main page, because the most likely thing you'll want to do on a page is look at/interact with the page content, not immediately leave the page again by doing a search.

I see. In my Firefox I can tab and then scroll using arrows.
