Currently only one remote neighbor data update at a time is supported but allowing several simultaneous updates, especially for different neighborhoods (i.e. one / neighborhood), might improve both usability and parallel performance.

Allowing several simultaneous updates for the same neighborhood might get tricky though especially when caching cells' datatypes.
