Why not write a whole sdk for firebase in pure dart

Thanks guys for all you do. You make life really easy for us and we can't thank you enough.

The flutterfire plugins are really great. Instead of writing and maintaining an entire sdk, it's much easier to write code that calls native code from other sdks. It has the merit of being quick but I can't get this question out of my head. Why not build an sdk in dart anyway? We would see firebase available on all platforms in theory at once with a single code base for those who develop with flutter (in addition to web, iOS, android and Macos, we would also have it on linux and windows). We could use firebase with shelf applications in concert with custom servers.
