'DataPlotting' object has no attribute '_filename_stub'.

2 To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to "test/howtos/bf"
2. Run "howto_bf_003_store_plot_and_save_variables.py"
3. Put "." on the user input for path_save

3 Expected behavior
No error.

Fresh newly installed Python 3.12 with the following dependencies:

@rizkydiprasetya Hi, I just checked this issue. I think the comment in Line 77 is not correct. Without the quote-unquote I also get the same error message. With them, they work properly, including also ".". Could you check whether it also works for you with the quote-unquote? Thank you and happy new year btw!

The problem has been solved. We fixed bugs in class Persistent and in the howto mentioned. Thanks for reporting!! Do you need the fix immediately or can it wait until our next release in a couple of weeks?
