Describe the bug
In LibreOffice Writer 6, I copy a piece of text, then try to paste it, and nothing happes. If I choose "paste as plaintext" (from Ctrl+Shift+V menu), the copied text is pasted. Also, when I try to paste text copied from another app, it works. So the only problem is copy&paste from and to Writer. When you copy from Writer and paste into Calc, the value pastes, but as "weird" textbox that has a lot of the Writer UI with it (that might be the culprit?).

Another thing that's broken in LO is skipping words by Ctrl+left/right. The cursor just stays still. However, e.g. Ctrl+Shift+Left/right works (for selecting words).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run Shapeshifter
  2. Run LibreOffice Writer
  3. Write some text
  4. Copy a piece of the text
  5. Try to paste it elswhere in the document
  6. Nothing happes.

Expected behavior
The text is pasted.

Desktop:

  • OS: win 10 64bit
  • Version 6.2018.922

Additional context

  • Libreoffice version: 6.1.0.3 (x64)

Shapeshifter is currently quite dormant unfortunately. I'm the sole maintainer, doing this for fun, and I have many other open source projects of my making to attend to.

If you'd like to show your support and potentially accelerate the fix of this issue, consider becoming a sponsor on Patreon. That way, you don't actually pay anything unless major updates arrive. And I don't expect them to arrive until quite some time, but if enough people become sponsors, I'll probably start doing this as my main project.

I hope you understand!
