Version of RiMusic

0.6.64

Android version

14

I've done these:

  • Uninstall old build before installing a new one
  • Checked opening issues about my similar problem

Tell us how you trigger this bug

  1. Open RiMusic
  2. Try to play a song
  3. "Song cannot be played"
  4. This isn't shown in the video, but then it says "An unknown playback error has occured"

Submit a video

What was your expectation?

I expected to be able to play the music

Think about MicroG support. This is not blocked because it is the same API as play services.

Description
Invidious companion is the new tool created for the retrieval of the YouTube streams: https://github.com/iv-org/invidious-companion

Invidious will not handle the videos streams retrieval anymore, as it has become as burner for the Invidious team to adapt. Instead, invidious companion will be based on https://github.com/LuanRT/YouTube.js which is the most up to date when it comes to video streams retrieval.

This allows us to spend more time on actually improving the Invidious frontend.

Need to update after supporting Invidious Api: iv-org/invidious-companion#22
