This is a substantially larger package that needs to be installed separately as a system package. Is there an alternative that can be installed locally into the usual ~/.local/share/kwin/scripts/ location?

The current package can be installed through Plasma's Desktop Effects settings and is saved in the aforementioned location, which allows for easy version control and backup through a configs git repo.
