Hi @mdavidsaver, is it possible to produce a tag for Python 3 support added via #10?

@yhidaka and I would like to create a conda-forge package for the project. Thanks!

@yhidaka and @mrakitin Do you have any thoughts on how to approach this PR wrt. #11 ?

I haven't done any work on this module in years, and don't anticipate that I will in future. Anything I do related to python and AA will likely be with https://github.com/mdavidsaver/aaclient although even that is not a priority for me at present.

Since you appear motivated, I suppose one possibility is my granting one or both of you write access to this repository and letting you sort things out to your satisfaction?

@mdavidsaver and @mrakitin: Sorry for my late reply. I was on a 4-week vacation, but am back now.

I would not want to rely on an inactive package, if possible. But aaclient appears not ready yet to be fully replaced with carchivetools, right? If so, we would have to limp along with carchivetools until aaclient is ready. In this case, it would be nice if Max can get the write access and release the current PR, assuming Max is OK with this plan.

By the way, @mdavidsaver do you know how other facilities using Archiver Appliance are dealing with this situation? If there is an alternative close to carchivetools that others are using, I'm also willing to consider switching to that.
