I've looked through Galen a couple of times - it seems more as a standalone tool, which works using regular Selenium engine for locating elements. Its specs syntax is more JS-based, than Java, therefore integrating w/ JDI seems unnecessary (launching tests may be integrated, but specs themselves - I really doubt that's a good idea); but Galen can be used as a idea to implement say Java-port for Galen specs, which can improve the usage experience
