Add support for Postgres 17

Background
Currently, the PostgreSQL extension is not compatible with PostgreSQL 17, which prevents me from leveraging new JSON functions and other improvements introduced in the latest version. This compatibility gap forces me to either stick with older versions of PostgreSQL or forego the benefits of the new JSON capabilities.
