The Reasoning / Background

Currently, sharing photos (stored in Ente Photos) in text message conversations is an arduous task compared to sharing from the native iOS Photos app or the Google Photos app. This leads to Ente Photos feeling uncomfortable / not native / harder to use than its competitors.

Current Ente Photo workflow

Imagine the scenario where you are texting someone about this cool cat you just saw. You type up the message and then think to add the photo you took of the cat.

In Ente Photos I have to:

1. leave the messages app
2. open Ente Photos
3. find the photo I want to send
4. use the share sheet to copy
5. open up the messages app again
6. paste the image into my message

The competitors

Native iOS Photos

In the iOS messages app it is natively supported to share a photo from the default photos app. You:

1. tap the photos app icon
2. it loads up a selector view of your photo albums where you can add photos to send.

Google Photos

The iOS messages app supports 3rd party access similar to iPhoto integration via "iMessage apps". This is what the iOS Google Photos app uses; wherein, the user:

1. clicks the Google Photos app icon in the messages app (just like the iOS photos app icon)
2. they are able to select photos from their library to send.

Please implement a iOS messages app integration to enable sending photos in text messages without having to leave / from within the iOS Messages app itself.
