  "text": "I want to go to culinary school. The town I live in has a 4 year bachelors degree program for culinary arts but its $17k a year. There is  also a community college with a 1 year certificate program for less than $5k, but it's also almost 2 hours away. \n\nDo you think I should take on the considerable debt to attend a 4 year college, or deal with the hellish commute for something I can afford out of pocket?",

      "text": "Culinary jobs typically don't pay very well, and most of the friends I have that are doing well just took a low-level job and worked their way up. So, I'd advise the cheaper option if you want to get some formal training. ",

      "text": "At least start at a community college. Most 4 years will transfer your credits over and help cut down on the number of classes you have to pay a higher tuition on.  \nI second the notion to move closer if you decide on CC.",
