issue with linking snippets.json

so on monday i made a snippets.json file and linked it to Emmet: Extensions Path and it worked flawlessly

however when i got back the next day it was no longer working?

i have no idea why this is the case but now even if i try to create a new one or link on another pc i cant do it.
i suspect it has something to do with the update?

if i just no longer can get it working is there something i can do to use snippets in conjuction with emmet?
