An optional escape character can be specified:

<character like predicate part 2> ::=
    [ NOT ] LIKE <character pattern> [ ESCAPE <escape character> ]

<similar predicate part 2> ::=
    [ NOT ] SIMILAR TO <similar pattern> [ ESCAPE <escape character> ]
