Badge on icon does not go away when accepting an invitation

Steps to reproduce

I get a chat invitation. I click on the invitation notification on my lock screen. I click on accept invitation. I start chatting.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The badge (red number one) on the app icon should go away after I accepted or declined the invitation.

What happened instead?

The badge (red number one) on the app icon does stay there despite there being no unread messages.
It does however disappear as soon as I open Element on my Desktop.

I have the same issue, but the badge doesn't go away when I open Element Desktop, or even when I restart my phone. The only way to make it go away is to sign out of Element X and sign back in again.
