Steps to reproduce

  1. Install https://github.com/dessalines/thumb-key/ and set it as default keyboard.
  2. Go to Thumb-Key settings -> Behavior, enabled Slide gestures.
  3. Focus a textbox and type some characters. Confirm that you can swipe on the space bar left and right to move text cursor.
  4. Open Element client, make sure rich text editor is enabled in Labs settings.
  5. Open any room and tap the message textbox, type some characters, then try to swipe left and right on the space bar of Thumb-Key

Outcome

What did you expect?
