August 2021 progress on ABIF

The August 2021 progress on ABIF? Not much so far. The space in my brain that I was using for ABIF got taken by other things in late July and early August. As I write this, I'm thinking more about ABIF, but it seems as though status updates can take more time than writing code or other "productive feeling" stuff.

Here's the issues that I've paid the most attention to this evening:

• # 1 Write a proper specification #1 - One of the comments on that issue had a lot to do with issue # 8, which is really a subtask of issue # 1 (in fact, all issues are subtasks of issue # 1)
• # 8 Candidate tokens: mechanism for bare token to fullname token mapping? #8 - This is the selection of how bare tokens get defined. The definition of bare tokens will be a big part of determining how easy (or difficult) ABIF is to parse, and how extensible it is. Should the candidate identifier (the "bare token") go before or after the candidate's full name? We haven't settled that yet.

I would really like to publish some ABIF files of some real-world elections, and try parsing those. So much to do, so little time.
