Hi @Mariusthvdb, ![]()
To be honest, the great majority of users will not know what to get from that code, and the majority use Custom Sidebar for things not related to theming (that is the reason that the themable options are now separated from the main options). Also majority of users don't even need to know that Custom Sidebar use variables to set the theming options, most of them just need to know that if you use an option it is applied in certain way. You sometimes forget that you are a user completely out of the ordinary. 😉 |

what would you think of adding a link to https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/blob/dev/src/components/ha-sidebar.ts in your documentation of the https://elchininet.github.io/custom-sidebar/home-assistant-built-in-sidebar-configuration-options
I always find it terribly useful to have the HA source code a hand, and also always find it a nuisance to find.....
maybe even list the buit in variables with their respective default values? As an example, this is what I have saved in my theme file, so I always find the correct spot and values directly
I believe it would be of additional value to custom-sidebar users to understand the options HA has set, and how to modify/customize those
compared to the additional options of custom-sidebar:
