Environment: (where does this bug occur, have you tried other environments)

  • Which branch (often main for latest released): latest
  • Which version (or HEAD for the most recent on git): most recent
  • Any specific OS or system where the issue occurs? No
  • Any special versions of ROOT or Geant4? No

Steps to reproduce: (give a step by step account of how to trigger the bug)

  1. Simulation of a single particle (pi+) uniform in momentum [0.,30. GeV/c], and eta [-3.5, 3.5]
  2. Run the reconstruction using EICRecon (version doesn't matter)

Expected Result: (what do you expect when you execute the steps above)

There is a structure observed at negative eta reported with truth seeding and realistic seeding several times.

Actual Result: (what do you get when you execute the steps above)

The structure is appearing on negative eta only where we have five silicon disks and two MPGD layers.
See Slide 2 of my presentation.
