Preview generator hangs on "Retrieving list of ODDs"

Hi,

I've encountered an odd bug when I press the Preview button. Where I would expect to see the menu with a list of ODDs to choose from, VS code brings up a splash indicating that it is Retrieving list of ODDs and hangs on that for a few minutes before displaying an error splash saying Retrieving list of available ODDs failed!.

I'm not sure what caused the bug to start: I've not updated VS Code or other plugins and to my knowledge nothing has autoupdated, and I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin, restarting the editor, etc. I'd be grateful for any help you can give.
