Originally we used -0.033 for s_star_MPa in Plant(), cf. Laio et al., 2001b, p.713 because that's what they use. However our s_star for loamy soil is different from theirs according to Figure 6 on p. 713. So we'll use a number below that (e.g. -0.05) until we figure out the discrepancy.
