Theia IDE 1.58 preview testing

The new version 1.58.100 of the Theia IDE is available on the preview channel now, please join the preview testing! You can download it here: Linux, Mac, Windows. You can update your existing installation by setting the preference updates.channel to preview. Please respond here when you were able to test the preview without finding blockers, by commenting with a ✔️. If you find any issues, please mention them in this thread and report them as an issue once confirmed by other testers.

Installing the markdownlint shows an error (Ubuntu - AppImage)

The dev tools show the following error

Uncaught (in promise) Error: Deployment of extension with ID vscode-extension://davidanson.vscode-markdownlint/ failed.

Afterwards the extension shows up both "installed" and still "installable".

Restarting Theia does not help

The extension works, i.e. I can see the markdownlint errors in Markdown files.

Installing ESLint worked without an issue.

I just noticed that, not sure whether that is a regression or already there with older versions.

FYI I've seen this issue during the course of last month already. It's looks like a regression, but it has been already on master for a few weeks IIRC.

I checked with 1.57.1 and the same problem exists there, so no reason to delay the release.

Can we get a +/- on publishing the preview build by end of today please? If you run into problem, of course, file issues right away, don't wait for the end of day.
