There is no link to the project homepage https://www.eclipse.org/sw360/ either in the project’s/repo’s description or the README file.

Ideally a link to the homepage should be in both.

well, understood, it is not quite without reference, because it is here:
https://github.com/eclipse/sw360/wiki

But that said, could be good to have a similar table or link in the project's readme.
