I'm wondering if this library could work also with a GridLayoutManager for RecyclerView.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm guessing it won't work correctly. From the top of my head, one of the issues would be padding the last row on a session so that items with the same header are grouped together. You're welcome to try it out, though. We can see what needs to be changed and work towards getting it to work properly.
