Stylepress is now in conflict with Elementor

As Stylepress runs on top of Elementor, this is a major problem for this plugin and a problem for any Elementor site developed including this plugin. The conflict has led to the Elementor Widget area not loading under current versions of the two plugins (using GeneratePress Theme) but duplicated on basic WordPress themes). Is there any idea on when an update to fix this bug will be available, if it will be available, given the lack of recent updates?
