This one is up for debate but I think something like Active Admin can be really great in creating a 'backoffice' section of the site with all sorts of statistics, dashboards, listings, csv/xml/json export, filters, sorting etc. I think for people who run clubs, manage applications and all that this is quite neat and potentially useful. This also separates the front facing code from where people add Organizations, Projects and Positions.
