Слайды вроде бы показываются новые, но если отпустить кнопку мыши - они затягиваются обратно за левый край экрана.

Slick так не умеет, по крайней мере slick ui завернутый в друпал-модуль. Можно заменить библиотеку - но накладно по времени, если кто пришлет пул-реквест, тогда проще.
