https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/boot-deploy uses a deviceinfo file containing a lot of the same information kernel-info.mk's of ports do; we should eventually try to get boot-deploy involved in the boot.img etc. generation process so the effort of duplicating basically the same work is reduced.

is this still relevant? i think our is more complete than boot-deploy is it not?
